Airport Varna expects over 2 million passengers this year

In 2018, airport traffic in Varna and Bourgas is expected to grow by about 10%, according to the planned flights to date - a significant increase due to the achievements of 2017 (8.42%) and 2016 (22%), the company concessioner at both seaports.

"British demand is growing - Thomas Cook Airlines UK and TUI Airways starts summer flights to Varna from several British cities, including Birmingham and Manchester." In addition to Ryanair Sun, Thomas Cook and TUI Airways, eight new airlines are planned for Varna: Pobeda, SUNDAIR GmbH, Brussels Airlines, Transavia Airlines, Corendon Airlines Europe, SkyEurope Airlines Hungary, Wings of Lebanon and Aircompany Armenia.

The new destinations from Varna are 6: Kassel in Germany (SUNDAIR GmbH), Salzburg in Austria (Bulgarian Air Charter), Birmingham in the United Kingdom (Thomas Cook Airlines UK), Harstad in Norway (Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia), Lyon in France ) and Cairo in Egypt (Bulgarian Air Charter).
